An end to an era

As many of you might have heard, Google and Amazon are discontinuing certain advertising programs. Google has ended the ability to post Youtube videos on your blog or website and have ads displayed on them. However, you can still earn money through Youtube videos through Youtube's partner program. Amazon has discontinued the referral program for North America, where users who go through links on your website and sign up earn you money. Outside of North America, however, the program is still in effect at the time of this post. These changes may affect bloggers who rely on them for a steady source of income.
